These two phases, Sunrise and New moon are equivalent. For both are rising, which makes it perfect to perform the type of spells for increasing things.

Greeting the day with the sunrise can bring forth positive things for that day. It is also the perfect time to greet the Sun God or to some Grandfather Sun. The Native Americans face and greet the sun every day and you can too with these simple short rituals.

The New moon is connected to the Maiden aspect of the Goddess. Once again this is the perfect time to perform spells in order to bring forth something over a period of time. Ex. several months.

It is also a good time for initiations. You could also bless a new tool/object during the New moon.

These two phases, High noon and Full moon are equivalent. For they are both at their highest peaks. Strong, vibrant and felt upon and within yourself. High Noon is also known as 'Solar Noon'. A time to receive clarity. When indecisive; write your question down 24 hours prior of the next High noon. At the next High noon; stand outside, close your eyes, tilt your head back so the sun shines upon your face for a few seconds or until you feel a calmness. Then tilt your head downwards. Open your eyes and look at your paper. The first thing that comes to your mind should help with your thought process regarding the issue.

The full moon has always been known for empowerment, be it a person, coven, object, spell or ritual. It is connected to the Mother aspect of the Goddess as well to every woman young & old. A great time to honor and celebrate the Goddess. The full moon doesn't just illuminate the sky but the power inside of everyone.

These two phases, Sunset and Waning moon are equivalent. For both are descending, which makes it perfect to perform the type of spells for decreasing and eliminating unwanted things in your life.

Sunset is a time that people of the Air element are the most powerful. As the sun sets you will take notice of rays of colors beaming from it. This happens because of the air molecules scattering about.

The Waning moon is connected to the Crone aspect of the Goddess. Once again this is the perfect time to perform spells to get rid of unwanted things/people. Some Witches will use this moon phase to reverse a spell. Some will take this time to cleanse their homes.

This moon is also known as 'the old moon'.
